Blogging is seems like a foreign language to most. Most people think that blogging is just another thing to take up time in your busy schedule. Which I would have to say I was one of those people until I read a few articles about why blogging is a great thing to add to your daily life schedule. I thought blogging was more for movie & book reviews, or even sporting events. Learning about how many teacher use this as a tool for success has opened my eyes into researching for some ideas myself.
In Couros's article he mentions that many teacher's don't see the importance of blogging. Once something is seen as important; it is more likely for people to obtain the task at hand. The aspect where Couros writes about how teachers preach the importance of D.E.A.R, but instead of them following the R as read; the teachers could think of it as reflect time.
The diversity of the use of blogging will open your eyes to see what there is for resources and what they can offer to the classroom. In Rooney's blog post she mentions that she uses this tool as a place to organize new ideas. She refers to it as her own 'library of thinking'; which I find is exactly what blogging is. It is a tool where other teachers can give input on the topic, and broaden your perspective on the ideas given. Also by getting the additional help of using Grammarly; it can make sure that everything runs smoothly.
