MEDICINE HAT COLLEGE
EDTS 232
This class is completed by three portions; lecture, tutorial and field experience. This class contributes the real life experiences of what it takes to be a teacher. Being able to be apart of practicum in September gave me the opportunity to watch a mentor, and learn from her. Going every week to practicum and being able to come back and talk about the situations that had happened in that week at practicum made it easier to understand what teaching really is.
ENGL 252
This course focuses on academic essay writing. This benefits me for the essays I will have to write in the near future.
GNED 234
This communities and societies course lets you dive into stories about stereotypical aspects of life. It focused on the Muslim, First Nations, African Americans, and the White Privilege. This gave me better understanding on the socioeconomic standing people are faced everyday.
GNED 210
This course expands your knowledge on mathematics, science and technology. It gives you the skills to use critical thinking and scientific reasoning through issues from current events. I am wanting to major in Mathematics, so this gives me knowledge in that area.

EDTS 234
This course is more application rather than textbook work. Getting the opportunity to visit three other schools from your practicum benefited me because I got to see what each school was known for. Getting to give my first lesson was just the first of many milestones in my teaching career. After giving it I felt confident that I picked the right profession.
COMM 250
This class gives the opportunity to present numerous presentations. They are never the same type of presentation whether it be impromptu, elevator speech, individual presentation or team teaching. This course has built up my confidence with speaking in front of a class.
GNED 220
This course explores the history of the concept of mind. Knowing that not everyone has the same perspective and how to understand the different ways people take concepts.
NUTR 200
Ever since high school I have been interested in how to live a healthy lifestyle. Taking this class has shown me how much children need to learn at a young age on how important to stay healthy. In this day and age technology is big and LOTS of children spend hours playing games on an iPad rather than going outside, so if teachers could instruct this into elementary education; it would benefit in the long run.

Educational Psychology gives you the knowledge on why children react like they do in certain situation. This course gives you the information you need to better understand children's needs

EDTS 325
EDTS 325 is a class that integrates the importance of technology in the classroom. It gives the opportunity to enhance our skills before going out into the work force. Each assignment is a different aspect of learning and assessing of a subject at hand.
ENGL 203
ENGL 203 was a class filled with books featured around mental illnesses. In the past few years mental illnesses have been a pressing topic with everyone in the world. With a greater understanding of the stereotypes against mental illnesses; it opened my eyes to be able to take about this subject with my students in the future!
HIST 231
History gives you the background on how Canada became its own country.
RELI 205
Learning about the Nature of Religion gives my learning a diversity; that I can include into my classes. I will be able to connect students with how their religion ties with one another.
KNES 260
KNES 260 is about the Introduction to Coaching. This class taught me new tricks to implement in my coaching program. It offers templates to be able to fill out throughout the whole season. The curriculum teaches the basics that each coach should focus on during the year. This class relates to teaching because of the extensive planning and preparing you need to do to make a practice plan. Also you are working with diversity and adapting the practice when needed.

EDTS 371
This class is completed by three portions; lecture, tutorial and field experience. This class contributes the real life experiences of what it takes to be a teacher. This class focused on literacy in the elementary classroom. I got the opportunity to teach three different lessons in my grade six practicum classroom.
KNES 281
This course focuses on the importance of movement in the classroom. We learnt numerous games that we could use in our physical education class. This class showed the different ways we could introduce movement breaks in our future classroom. Our final project was to create a game portfolio and I feel that this will be useful in years to come!
KNES 290
This course introduced me to how the body moves and operates. We learned through numerous labs where we looked deep into how each age developed. Our final project was a case study where I focused on how living on a farm can be beneficial to living longer. I got to observe ages 2-80 and I found that I can now see that more movement can help your body develop into the best.
ENLG 301
This course examines English literature from the Romantic and Victorian periods, as well as from the twentieth century to the present. The development and continuity of English literature in relation to historical and social contexts are also studied.

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
ECS 101
This course was focused on the Journey to Reconciliation. Each aspect that we learnt changed my perspective of the Indigenous culture. I learned more about my beliefs that I need to implement into my future classroom. This class helped narrow down what I think is important in the years to come!
CREE 100
This class gave me an opportunity to learn a new language. I got to learn the basics of this language and represented it by oral communication.
MATH 101
This course focused on basic concepts of arithmetic, number theory, set theory, symbolic logic, and finite mathematics. There was a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem solving, understanding concepts and their applications.
ECE 200
This course focused on child development and the main approaches of early childhood education. The coursework was represented through different perspectives. We balanced time through group time and independent activities. We observed a series called Life; where we saw a young children grow through 10 years.
EAE 201
This course was an introductory to aesthetic education. I learned ways to implement eco-art into every strand of art education. We used all forms of mediums to portray projects.
WINTER 2021
ECS 203
The focus of this classroom on the big ideas in curriculum theory. We got to see the philosophical and historical context in the curriculum.
ECE 325
This class focused on different classroom environments. It follows a learner-centered curriculum and environments for young children. We got to design our own dream classroom for our final project
ENGL 200
This class explored multilingualism and the classroom. Our class got to take part in a foreign exchange program through zoom with children from Mexico.
GEOL 102
I took this class to fill my natural science credit. I got to learn about rocks and different aspects of Earth.
ART 100
Art 100 is about exploring art pieces and the artists that made them. It allowed me to find meanings of the artwork and see what the artists meant by it.

INDG 100
This class taught me the history about the Indigenous people in the province of Saskatchewan.
ECCU 400
This course taught me about how to teach treaties in the classroom. We were taught about the significance to recognizing what treaty land we live on.
EPSY 400
EPSY 400 focuses on understanding about different abilities. It taught information on methods of working with students whose performance differs from established norms.
FALL 2021
ECS 303
This class has given me the tools to understand learners, and connect the curriculum theory and practice. This class had a field component and I was placed in a grade 4/5 class.
ELNG 310
This class is based on elementary language and literacy practices. It focused on literacy development theories, approaches for teaching reading, writing, listening and speaking. Allows gave me ideas on how to organize literacy instruction in the classroom and integration of IT with literacy learning.
EHE 310
This course explore the K-8 health curriculum. We learnt how to write a unit plan and lesson plan for the health curriculum.
EMTH 310
This course focused on looking at the outcomes and big ideas through the K-8 math curriculum. We were placed in groups to complete problems and deciding what outcome they lined up with.
EPE 310
This course focused on physical education in the K-8 SK curriculum. I got the opportunity to create a Promoting Play Kit, and grade 4 lesson plan. I got introduced to numerous strategies in the gym atmosphere
