Education blogs are filled with knowledge to help any teacher find resources on the pressing subjects at hand. Blogs have a variety of topics; to fit any subject you may need to research. With having people talk about such subjects; they offer the links on what they are explaining throughout their blog post.

Kanneken’s blog post refers to why digital breakouts are a must in the curriculum. With this era of high technology, it is no surprise to integrate it into an activity for the students. I agree that students gain numerous skills such as critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. These skills may be taught in one class, but they can be used in their everyday life.

Jarrett article includes how to integrate online lesson plans into your student’s curriculum. By learning the ins and outs to choosing the ideal lesson is a great hint to learn. Having the lessons that have the additional learning materials. Teacher all have each other’s back in the instance we are all out there to help each other out. By giving the examples online, teachers have opportunity to use them as a starting block as you need to adapt them to your students.

Vidotto’s blog is all based on one theme for the year. I think this is an interesting take on blogging because she bases all her activities on the theme. By including pictures, videos and text you get the understanding she takes pride in the activity at hand. By having a clear understanding of what students are going to learn in these exercises; it gives the opportunity to have a little fun with it. This blog gives numerous ideas that any teacher could include in their lesson plan.

Hey Haley! I really enjoyed checking out the blogs you wrote about. I totally agree with technology playing a role in schools today as it is such a huge part of our world. Why not have students become experts? I also love the idea of collaborating with teachers online and "borrowing" lesson plans then changing them to suit the students in your class - who knows what great ideas there are to be shared!

These are some really great blog choices Haley! I love the idea of having a theme for a year - but how would you choose?! I'm always up to read anything on technology. It's been long enough since I was in school, so I'm always interested to see what is being used today - especially if I can learn how to use any tools that are available. Great read!
